ICM's 1500 Series Intermittent Ignition Oil Primary Controls come standard with patented energy transfer technology that ensures the fuel valve and pump will only be energized if the control is functioning properly. Features a solid state flame sensing circuit, LED to indicate system lockout, an enclosed safety switch and an external reset button. Direct replacement for popular competitive models.

Not bad
Had a bad thermostat and primary. There is a delay when calling for heat with this primary. Coupled with bad thermostat was giving me fits. I switched it with one on another heater with good thermostat worked fine. Not use to delay when calling for heat. Not long but can make you think it's defective.

Q: Does the primary control shut off the ignition transformer after a flame is detected so there is not a continuous ark across electrodes.
