Description
–
Controls the circulating fan in heat pump, air conditioning and forced air systems. Delay on make lets air reach proper level prior to turning on the fan. Off delay timing function continues to run the fan at the end of the heating/cooling cycle, thereby purging ducts of residual air and increasing system efficiency.
Product Features
Mode of Operation - Power must be applied at all times. Upon closure of the thermostat, the delay on make period begins. Once complete, the load is energized and remains energized as long as the initiate switch is closed. When the thermostat switch opens, the delay on break period begins. Once complete, the load is de-energized and all time delays reset. If the initiate contact re-closes during the delay on break period, the load remains energized and the delay on break period is reset. Removal of the input power resets all timing functions. Should the initiate contact open during the delay on make period, the delay on make period is reset to zero.

It works, instructions are just awful.
I needed to add a post purge timer to a duct furnace that uses the blower off of a separate air handler. I was hoping to use W instead of G so I could wire it to turn on only on for during a call for heat. It doesn't work that way. It looks like 1 and 4 stay energized for the whole delay time, you must use G or go to a fan contactor on 1. Not a huge deal but the instructions are so minimal and hard to read I basically wrote out a quick terminal note for it.

The dial is also fairly terrible, you need to set it and time it just to confirm. Only numbers on it are 12, 200 and 390, 200 isn't divisible by 12 so I don't really understand the rhyme or reason behind the number scheme.

Works As Advertised
I've installed several of these over the past few years. The included wiring diagram is pretty horrible. However, once you get past that the timer works like a charm. I happen to be an HVAC contractor, so maybe that's why I'm not having the same trouble as the other reviewer.

death on arrival.
I ordered 2 units. The 1st one was attached but it does not work. It does not turn on or off. I took the seconds unit to an Electronic expert friend. He tests the units. both units are damage from short circuit.
I was palnning to use them to turn on and off the water solenoid valve, the valve feed the humidifier from Honeywell H220. The humidifier turn on, the if I keep the water line 1/4" valve open, water ran and overflow 40 gallons of water a day without timer. these are piece of bad products.
