The old one lasted 7 years !
Instant hot water and the old kettle put in storage ....this outstanding unit is so very easy to install (in this case replacing a well used one ) and we are so spoiled by its instant hot water that it was panic when the old one died !

I've owned three hot water units. Two of those had a problem with the button sticking, as many others have mentioned. After installing a new unit, I disassembled the old one and found that there was a small rubber O-ring on the shaft of the button that was in contact with the cylinder wall. I removed the O-ring, and presto, problem solved. The unit is easy to disassemble. I now have a good unit if needed. The company SHOULD correct this ongoing manufacturing flaw.

Love the HOT water, but the faucet button now sticks
We use this product daily for making pitchers of iced tea, adding "gravy" to dog food bowls and overall hot water needs. We love it. However, the button on the dispenser is now sticking open and not seeing a way to get and/or order a replacement part. I'm seeing this seems to be an issue with this design. I'm hoping it's being improved for future purchasers.

I would not buy again
This product lasted less than a year and a half. It now blows a GFI probably because the coil is burnt out.
Also the output is very very slow.

I was pleased with the product and it installed beautifully with no leaks. It has met our expectations. It was quite delayed in delivery, however, but that seems to be par for the course these days!

Don't buy! Had to replace 4 times in 5 years. Junk.
Had to replace my Insinkerator Instant Hot Water Dispenser 4 times in 5 years. Purchased one, which they had to replace twice. Purchased another (that was a mistake) and now it needs replaced. Must be a given that they have a one year life.
