Squeeze out a little more insulation value

Why would any residentail heating contractor be interested in 1 5/8" ID insulation? I use this insulation to insulate pipe unions, ball valves and other hard to insulate plumbing. Typically, most of the piping can be insulated with standard pipe insulation. Augmenting that insulation with insaulation that can warp over the typical insulation allows you to finsih the job.

OK product, poor packaging

I was very disappointed when I received my shipment of pipe insulation from Supply House.com. Because I didn't order a full box quantity the insulation came packaged in a large square box. This caused the adhesive to transfer strips to loose their protective covering and the adhesive migrated onto the mashed pieces of insulation that were in the box. This box contained both 7/8 and 1 1/8 in. insulation and the pieces were much more difficult to use after they had become misshaped by the shipping process. 1 1/8 in. insulation that was shipped in the correct size container showed none of these problems

Used on AC lines, was difficult to fold flap over around tight bends. I cut the flap every 12 inches or so to help in folding it over. Also used UV resistant tape on joints to help seal them

Great Product and a Smooth Transaction!

I bought this pipe insulation to cover a 3/4" Pex water supply from source to an RV. I haven't installed it yet, but it looks to be perfect for it's intended purpose. It was well packaged, and the shipping was fast.

We would recommend that you use heat tape and insulation instead.
