Very Impressive, Precision Made to Perfection
First things first -- Supplyhouse.com is, for me, one of, if not the best online construction supply provider. Great prices, huge selection, and the shipping is lightning fast. I have ordered a lot from them, and they have NEVER disappointed me. I am a licensed, Master plumber, with thirty-seven years of experience. I have repaired many of these American Standard tub faucet valves. This is the absolute best kit I have ever installed. The price is very reasonable, especially when you consider the quality. Listen folks, I know quality...I have handled plumbing faucets, valves, trim, etc. every single day for decades. I was skeptical when I ordered this, because the price was lower than I had thought it should be, comparatively speaking. When the package arrived, the pieces and parts were all heavy metal of some type-- not that cheap, chrome-plated plastic crap. The stems and barrels are beautifully made, and are polished brass and chrome; The escutcheons and handles are probably some type of pot metal, but they are very heavy, and heavily chrome-plated. The faucet worked flawlessly when I got done, and with no squeaking or much effort to turn the handles. Water temperature control exceeded the owners' expectations ! I have noticed thru the years, that Taiwan manufacturing levels , in a lot of different fields, is always very high in quality and precision.
