Description
–
The 253 Liberty Pump is a 1/3 HP Automatic Submersible Sump/Effluent Pump that comes factory-equipped with a wide-angle float switch that is mercury-free, mechanically activated and mounted to the pump.
This pump has two cords - one to the float switch and the other to the pump motor. The switch cord has a piggyback series plug enabling the pump (motor) cord to be plugged into the back of it. The purpose of this design is to temporary allow manual operation of the pump if desired.

Hermetically sealed motor and switch cavities, and permanently lubricated bearings
Liberty's UNI-BODY casting - a solid, one piece housing that eliminates the lower motor seal ring found on other pumps
Epoxy powder coat finish
Vortex style impeller for superior solids-handling. Made of high temperature engineering polymer
Fasteners all made of non-corrosive stainless steel
416 stainless steel rotor shaft

Nice, well made pump. I am very pleased with the selection
I am using the pump as a basement sump pump. The Tether/wide angle float switch allows a good range of on/off for my pit. And the piggyback outlet allows me to drain the pit down to nearly nothing after storm events. The pump with a quiet check valve runs so quiet that I couldn't tell it came on when I was testing it with a garden hose. Great unit!

This is a beast
