281 Liberty Pumps are 1/2HP Automatic Submersible Sump/Effluent Pumps that have a wide-angle quick-disconnect float switch which are mercury-free and mechanically activated.
This Liberty Pump features a unique one-piece cast iron housing which is thermally protected. Moreover, it contains a permanently lubricated motor and a factory-preset switch for the pump which is not adjustable. This should be used for De-watering, Sump and Effluent Applications. It is strongly recommended not to let the pump run dry.

Permanently lubricated upper and lower ball bearing
Carbon and ceramic mechanical face seal
Epoxy powder coat finish
All fasteners are corrosion-resistant stainless steel
Stainless steel bottom screen which is easily removable
Maximum fluid temperature: 140°F

My 4th Liberty Pump
Excellent Value, this pump is used in my liquids tank and performs flawlessly. It's cast iron design gives it longevity and weight to keep it steadfast. It's life expectancy is 5 years and it's true to that life line. Wish it would last longer.
