281 Liberty Pumps are 1/2HP Automatic Submersible Sump/Effluent Pumps that have a wide-angle quick-disconnect float switch which are mercury-free and mechanically activated.
The Liberty 281-5 sump/effluent pump covers a wide range of low-head to mid-head pump applications. It is ideal for pumping of drainage, effluent and waste water, and other non-corrosive or non-explosive liquids.
Features:
Cast iron pump housing with protective epoxy coating for corrosion resistance
Oil-filled motor housing for lifetime lubrication and rapid heat dissipation
1/2 HP shaded pole motor with thermal overload protection
Vortex style impeller permitting passage of solids up to 3/4"
Stainless steel screws, bolts and handle to protect against corrosion
Mechanical seal (stainless steel spring, nitrile parts, carbon and ceramic faces) to assure maximum protection against pump failure
Upper and lower sintered sleeve bearings for extended motor life
Automatic operation with piggyback mechanical float switch with 'ON' level at 13" and 'OFF' level at 7"

My 4th Liberty Pump
Excellent Value, this pump is used in my liquids tank and performs flawlessly. It's cast iron design gives it longevity and weight to keep it steadfast. It's life expectancy is 5 years and it's true to that life line. Wish it would last longer.
