Description
–
Little Giant's uniquely designed automatic pool cover
pump is ideal for removing water from all types of pool
covers. The APCP-1700 activates in approximately
2" of water and deactivates in approximately 1.5" of
water. The pump comes equipped with a low energy
consumption, permanent-split capacitor (PSC) motor.
The motor is mounted in a sealed, stainless steel housing
and cooled by the flow of the pumping fluid over
the motor housing. The APCP-1700 has a wide base
design for needed stability.

It is impressive.
It seems to be working very well. First used it to empty my hot tub for cleaning. and now i=we have it keeping our inground pool at the right level for wintering under the under the pool cover.

So far, so good!
This is a pool cover pump and I have no issues with it, easy to hook up....
By the way the order agent was great and got the product out the same day as my other pump finally gave up the ghost, and the impending storms coming meant that I needed a reliable pump right away......Your company provided great service in getting out.....

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffIt's not recommended because the water hose can freeze putting a strain on the motor leading to damage. It is best to unplug the unit when temperatures are below freezing.
