Exact replacement

Little Giant pump used for "ponding" low level water removal. Now used as aux. sump pump years later. RS 5 works!

This remote switch works

I've had neighbors complain about submersible pumps not kicking on when needed. I even went to a house that had 3 inches of water in their finished basement. their recently (1 yr) pumps did not activate. I checked for power - ok -went to the riser drain pipe and gave it a thud with my hand and the pump kicked on My old one failed after 13 years as a low water switch for my pond pump - about a $400 pump. It protects it from burning out by running when water is not available due to a clog in the filter system. And it did it's job countless times. When it failed, it prevented the pump from running and I found it to be the cause. It works by the pressure of the water pushing against a diaphragm and the diaphragm pushing a switch. Simple and foolproof.
