Valve's Fine But Assembled Too Tight
Since this is a sweat type fitting the valve stem needs to be removed before installation lest the seals melt from the heat. However, the two I bought were factory-assembled too tight for easy stem removal. If you have this issue, try this: Remove the handle, and stem seal (top) nut; Remove the stem; Turn the valve body upside down and clamp down on the body nut (just below the stem seal nut) in a vise; Use a spud wrench to turn the valve body in the CCW direction. The body nut should loosen if enough force is applied. Good luck.

Q: I'm looking for an outdoor spigot and wondering what would be the easiest way to install it onto 1/2 in pex pipe? Thanks.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThis particular unit (part 206C03) has a 1/2" copper connection. You can sweat a PEX fitting on to this end. We also offer PEX sillcocks that come with a pre-installed PEX crimp fitting ( http://www.pexsupply.com/PEX-Frost-Free-Sillcocks-1762000 ).
