Probably didn't need it
It was easy to install but I am using it on a pool filter and I think it is restricting the flow. I am going to cut it out and just use a straight pipe with no back flow prevention.

Q: Is this recommended for use downstream of a Basement shower stall trap?

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffNo, this is not recommended for any sewer drain applications due to the risk of clogging the lines. The sewer also needs free access to air in order to vent the system property to prevent trapped air.
