crack pressure rating wrong
These check valves seemed to be of good quality. However, I ordered these based on the spec'd crack rating, which was supposed to be 0.5. It takes way too much pressure to open them, way more than the .5 that they are rated at. These might work with a high horsepower pump, but a 1/12 HP circulater pump doesnt have the push to open them.

Buy threaded - not sweat
Bought the sweat on kind - eliminated the ghost flow problem. So they worked as I was hoping. However, one valve rattles and to adjust I'd have to remove and sweat back on. If I would have bought the threaded kind, taking it off for a quick adjustment would be a breeze - wish I would have thought of this when I ordered.

Q: what are the temp ratings on this check valve. I removed the checks on the grundfos pumps I bought from you the instructions didn't say to put back in so there are gone and can't get new ones. Can these be installed in a heating system?
