1-1/4" (Female Union x FIP) Steam Angle Convector Valve

Installed three of these steam valves this year and all working perfectly. A little pricey but they seem to be a little more hefty than the cheaper ones. The nut on the union side of the valve can split on the cheaper steam valves but I am able to crank these unions down pretty snug and they hold up well.

This was s great transaction. The product was exactly as described and was delivered flawlessly. I'm very happy.

I had to remove the radiator in our kitchen to install new flooring. When I reinstalled the radiator, I could not stop the union from leaking. I tried every trick I could find but to no avail. I finally broke down and bought this valve. The toughest part of installation was removing the old valve (from 1925!). The rest of the install was easy. The valve has a substantial knob, not the flimsy replacement kind. The union held perfectly! No leaks the first time.

My neighbor and I replaced a cruddy, leaky old angle valve on a steam radiator. We cleaned everything out with a wire brush and used teflon tape to seal the connections. The new valve from PexSupply works great...and just in time to save us from the PA cold! :) I initially ordered the wrong part, but the PexSupply return system was GREAT.
