Upgrade for older wiring solution
I have an 11 year old Slant Fin Victory VSPH-120. When it was first installed the Guard Dog connection to the control system was a mess of wires. The control connections for the boiler were modular but the origional connection had to be spliced in making the internal wiring an awkward mess. It is important to choose the right model of this harness. The first one I ordered was for a different control panel. The -S had the modular splitter that fit my control panel. Installation was easy. There are two very similar splitters that this comes with, but the indicator lights on the Guard Dog unit will tell you if you install the right one. This really helps clean up the wiring mess in the control box and makes it easier to trace wiring when diagnosing problems.
