The Merit Brass cross is a class 150 stainless steel 304 cast pipe fitting with female National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads on all four ends for connecting and branching four sections of pipe. The cross has four female openings to connect and branch male pipes or fittings and it connects with NPT threads, which create tighter seals than straight threads. This class 150 cross is made of stainless steel 316, which is higher strength and more corrosion resistant than stainless steel 304.

Well build normal pressure stainless fitting
For normal pressures, these are well build fittings (these are not high-pressure models). The threads are well machines and seal nicely.
We are using it for an outdoor potable water system (< 100psi) and fit the bill perfectly.
The 2" barbed fittings as well as other Merit Brass nipples fit great. Remember to use pipe dope and tape for targeted for stainless as the metal is not forgiving in any way. Otherwise you'll get leaks which will be the fault of the installer, not the fitting.

I would buy these products again....
The many fittings I purchased are to be used in a Water Heater replacement project. Hopefully, they will reduce the electrolysis/corrosion issues at the Inlet/Outlet ports.
Either way, they are competitively priced compared to brass fittings and are very impressive to "look" at.
Just one question: Why can't they be made in America?
