Perfect replacement for our 45 year old shower control valve
It's an exact replacement for our early 1980's shower control valve. The originals were not that hard to remove once you can get the valve cartridge to turn inside the valve body. The first one I did with the removal tool pulled the insides out of the cartridge but a 1/2" tap works to remove the outside shell of the cartridge. I chucked it up in a drill and once it started spinning it pulled out easily. The second one I took my time, some FreeAll, and the removal tool, and once it turned before I started threading the tool down to pull the cartridge out it only took a little time to complete the whole job.
