Hard water and 25 years made removal a bear. The plastic ears snaped off when turned the plastic removal tool. Then the fun began. I made a removal tool with a bolt and some washers and eventually worked it out.
The new cartridge works easily and stopped the leak. I would buy again.

Horrible product
231 apartments less than 3 years old. I had to replace 52 already. These were documented. Rep. says bad batch. Getting calls at all times of day and night for leaking cartridges. Should of went with there competition.
