I used this item to allow me to update my shower valve trim plate and handle. Worked perfectly. Fit both the valve and the new face plate and handle.

This adapter allows you upgrade trim on older valves without changing the valve. Once I purchased one I ended up getting another! Updated both showers. Supplyhouse.com shipped very quickly received item next day! Excellent customer service!

I had an old Moen faucet with standard valve. The only new trim kits that work for Moen standard valves are the Moentrol trims. I had to have the Moentrol adaptor kit so I could change my current Moen trim to an updated Moentrol trim. The only other alternative was to also replace the valve which I did not want to do. Without the adaptor, updating would not have been possible.

without this 'small' adaptor, I would have to change the entire part (saved me big money and time).

bought to upgrade my old moen tub/shower fixture. It fit onto the old fixture without incident. When I tried to place the new moentrol fixture kit, one of the predrilled holes refused to accept the screw from the moen fixture cover plate. I eventually got a substitute screw to work. I was disapointed that the hardware kit had some kind of defective threading.
