Replacement heater element works great
This replacement works great. There was a faint "burning" smell that began immediately after I turned the system back on. I panicked and turned the system off, and researched to find such an odor to be the normal consequence of burning off the layer of manufacturing residue that was on the coil. It lasted a minute or so (windows open), and went away.

We have had this heating element like two months, and it tried to burn our house down!!! It broke and the way that it happened it allowed for it to run non stop, even when we turned the thermostat off. Thank God my husband woke up in the middle of the night when he did.. to find it burning so hot he could hardly even touch the front of the furnace to get it off and you couldn't touch anything in side the furnace. Our thermostat in our living room was reading 94! It's set on 63!!!

We have had this heating element like two months, and it tried to burn our house down!!! It broke and the way that it happened it allowed for it to run non stop, even when we turned the thermostat off.
