Noritz Connect Wi-Fi Adapter

No issues with Supply House. I get my orders quickly and at a good price. However, this product from Noritz just doesn't do much. I read that prior to purchasing and called Noritz directly to find out if it would allow me to control my circulation pump and set my time on the unit. At least at this point I am finding the software to be very quirky with delays to connect. Once connected I don't have any real control of the unit and definately can't figure out how to control the recirc pump. Unit physically connected fine but how it operates really is an issue. I cannot recommend buying this unit but that may change once I work with Noritz to get more clarity on why my unit isn't allowing me to control the unit as their sales people told me it would.

The connector does work, it's a bit of a pain to configure the wifi, not as seemless as some smart devices and it requires a strong wifi signal which is a problem for basement. But the product is the manufacturer standard product and comes with the cable connection.

So the Noritz Wi-Fi Adapter like most other smart home wifi products are not really necessary but they are definitely nice to haves as we start evolving our homes. This adapter does pretty much the same thing as the wired remote that comes with the unit does but I can conveniently do it from my phone from anywhere. Lets say I forgot to turn off the unit before leaving for a vacation or need to turn up the temp while cooking, etc, I can do so from my phone. It also has maintenance reminders which is great because it's 1 less thing to think about.

Is good to know that things are working the way it should and this remote helps you do exactly that! Installation for the device and wire connections were simple and quick. The iOS/Android app is easy to install, but it is hard to configure. Be warned that more than one attempt will be needed to get it all working correctly. One word of advice; do follow the instructions completely and things will work out faster! Once configured, the app does take no less than 48 hours to show its initial usage stats. I would add that Noritz still has some way to go optimizing the app. For example, things like editing the schedule for descaling and doing other maintenance or preventive services are clearly not there yet in the app. Configuring alerts are also missing which forces you to access the app whenever you want to figure out if everything is working ok or not. All in all... It's a first step! It's nice that you don't have to walk up to the water heater to make any adjustment or reset the unit.

The parts fit without any issues and the system is working flawlessly.

3rd time using Supply House and very happy.

The WiFi adaptor does what is is supposed to but it is frustrating that you have to install the remote control panel and then the WiFi as opposed to just the WiFi adaptor. While it is nice to have local control without WiFi it is a duplicate cost.
