iWave-V Air Purifier (2400 CFM)

I wanted it to make a difference, but unfortunately, it hasn't. I installed it 2-3 weeks ago. I live in Florida, and my daily AC run time right now is 12 hours a day. Maybe if I ran my blower 20+ hrs a day, I would notice a difference. The problem is that all my ducts are in the attic, where it's 130 degrees, so if I let my blower run 24/7, then I'm just pumping hot air back into the house, so that doesn't seem to be an option for me during the summer. Maybe in the winter, I can let the fan run more. 3.5 ton AC, 2100 sq ft house, 2 story. I believe in the product and the science, but there is no noticeable difference in the air quality by means of dust or smell. I wouldn't say my house was super dusty prior, but I would get cooking smells I was hoping to help improve. YMMV.

THIS UNIT IS VERY EASY TO INSTALL, WORKS WHENEVER THE FAN IS RUNNING AND CLEANS THE AIR, AT FIRST THERE WILL BE A LOT OF VISIBLE DUST MOSTLY ON THE FLOOR AS IT CAUSES DIRT TO CLUMP TOGHETHER. AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS THE AIR FILTER WILL NEED TO BE CHANGED. THE AIR IN YOUR HOME WILL SMELL BETTER AND HAVE LESS POLLEN AND ALERGENS. WE LOVE THE I WAVE!

It is installed in my ductwork and is working wonderfully. It really makes the air cleaner. My wife and I have allergies and this is helping.

As a licensed Heating and Air Conditioning contractor and 36+ years in the industry I have been cautiously skeptical about recommending indoor air quality products such as this. I have seen state of the art products and equipment designed and engineered to be the best thing since spread butter fail and fall to the side when put to the test over the years. With the emergence of the Corona virus this year and speaking directly with HVAC technicians across the United States and hearing their findings I took the chance and purchased a iwave for my home Friday 8-21-20. Here are the results so far and the environment of the indoor air being cleaned. 2400 sq ft home, 40 years old 4 ton 2 stage dual fuel package unit 3 heavy smokers in home 1 rescue mutt ( JK love my dog) Within one hour of installation a nonsmoker could tell a significant reduction of smoke and pet smell. Within 8 hours the floating debris visible when the sun shines in the window in the evening was 95 percent clear. I will continue to monitor this device and my personal results but so far it has impressed me for sure...

I located it in the main return duct instead of next to the HVAC blower housing. It's a lot easier to check for operation (green LED on side of unit) and perform routine brush cleaning by simply removing the main HVAC filter. I chose this model instead of the one that "wipes" the carbon fiber brushes figuring that's one less thing to break. I bought a separate 24VAC transformer w/housing and just plug it into 120V outlet, running the 24VAC to the iWave unit. If I had to do again, I'd look for a self contained laptop style power adapter. I'm happy so far. I trust the positive and negative ionizing is killing bacteria and viruses, and airborne mold. Hopefully this will be reliable for years to come.
