Forget about those goose bumps when stepping out of the shower on those cold winter days! This unit is equipped with a heater to add a little warmth when the temperature starts to drop. A tubular, stainless-steel-sheathed heating element features Nichrome wire with magnesium oxide for optimal heat transfer and electrical insulation at elevated temperatures.
So Quiet You Might Not Know it's On
WhisperWarm fans feature a totally enclosed condenser motor and a large, double suction blower wheel to quietly move air. A small wheel turning very fast will create more noise than a large wheel turning more slowly for a given airflow. The fan uses a wide blower wheel that moves a large amount of air at reduced RPMs. The blower wheel is also designed to draw air in from both sides, which helps keep the noise down, as there is more area for the air to enter the wheel. In fact, it is quiet enough that you might not even know it's on.
Continuous, Trouble-free Operation for Many Years
This fan is designed to give you continuous, trouble-free operation for many years thanks in part to its high-quality components and permanently lubricated motors which wear at a slower pace. Also, since heat is always detrimental to motor life (the cooler the environment, the longer the motor will last), the electrical configuration of this model's condenser motor is designed to allow it to operate at lower temperatures, increasing the life of the motor and bearings. And, the fan housing is made of heavy-gauge zinc galvanized steel and painted to protect it from rust.
Tired of Cold Air Coming Through Your Ventilation Fan?
This Panasonic fan has a built-in damper to prevent backdraft, which helps to prevent outside air from coming through the fan. Also, thanks to our efficient, cool running motors and fluorescent bulbs, it does not create excessive heat-a common problem with recessed lighting fixtures and some competitors' fan/light combinations. Loose fill or batt insulation can be placed directly over the fan housing to prevent heat from escaping.

Best Fans on the Market!
We use the whisperwarm heater/fan combo in our place and all of our rentals. They are reliable and quiet! The light option is not very good light so we just user other bathroom lighting. We put timers on all of our fans and tell everyone to turn on the timer after they take a shower to help prevent mold/mildew growth.

WhisperWarm Fan/Heater
This fan/ heater is a good quality unit. The exhaust fan is much quieter than other brands I have used. The heater is nice for warming up the bathroom and helps to dry yourself off too. I installed the heater on a 20A circuit with a 15 minute timer. The timer works great so no one forgets leaving the heater on. The only downside is the size of the ceiling cut out. This was a replacement for me and it was considerably larger.

WOW!
This thing is so quiet you'll forget to turn it off. It also moves a lot of air. The heater will make my 8' X 8' bathroom toasty in less than 5 minutes. I am really impressed with the quality as compared to my original Broan 50 CFM model. It was well worth the extra money in my opinion!

Love the heat
I love the fan and the heat feature. It is very nice to have warm air blowing down and it adjusts so when the element is warm enough it increases the warm fan speed. The ventilation fan is very quiet.

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffThe fan has a sound measurement of 0.6 sones. 1 sone is the equivalent of a quiet refrigerator. The fan should not be used as main heat source, but does provide some heat and can be run continuously. There is a separate switch for the heater, so you can run the fan without the heater.

1)Yes, the fan is exceptionally quiet. 2)The heater warms up a 5' x 6' room fairly quickly. You may want to turn it off if you are taking a long bath. It's perfect during a shower. My other bathroom is larger, and again, if you are taking a long bath you might want to turn it off at some point. 3) You will install a double switch plate, one for the fan, one for the exhaust. They supply small labels for the switches.

The fan is extremely quiet - you need to remember to turn it off! In the 2 weeks I've used the unit I think the longest I've had the heater on was about 30-35 minutes, but assume it would run much longer. I don't know if there's an auto cut-off at some point. To operate the heater and fan seperately you need 2 wall switches or a dual rocker switch.

1. The heater is very quiet, the vent fan not so much. 2. For my 7 x 8 foot bathroom, plenty of heat for as long as I want. 3.I have fan and heater wired to two separate on/off switches.

1) less then 1 scon 2) 1400watts and yes it can be left on. Also you can install a timer switch to control the heater/fan. 3)Install a dual switch, one to control the fan, and one for the heater. Several electric supply companies carry them.
