PRIER P-164 provides a year round source of water in areas that are subject to freezing temperatures. The hydrant valve is connected to the supply piping in the heated portion of the structure, eliminating the possibility of freezing. The P-164 has the added benefit of an easy quarter turn operation that features a proven compression type seal. Additionally, the P-164 features a soft grip operating handle for easy operation in wet conditions and cold weather.

Nicely made but intially leaked...then stopped.
Exterior Hose bib with Wisboro/Uponor Fitting (or whichever type you need). I believe it's made in the USA? Definately Quality built and had an American flag and Kanasas City, Missouri Address on box but it did not actually say where it was made. (I don't like that - I suspect it's mix of foriegn and domestic).
In any case, 1 out of 2 leaked at the valve stem. Probably just a loose packing nut - but I requested a new one be sent as it was expensive and didn't think I should have to work on it out of the box.
Customer service was great and sent a replacement. Strangley the running leak quite literally fixed itself while waiting for the replacement. I guess the packing swelled or seated correctly. IDK.
If you worry about such things the box says "For Irrigation Only" and has a lead warning. I believe this is due to the valve body being cast from brass. After going to Prier website... I wish Supply House had the C-134 or P-154 model as that is what I really wanted. (simpler and cheaper)

Leaks at stem packing
It's a nice faucet but the stem leaks at the packing nut, mostly when rotating the knob between off and on. Had a replacement sent out but same problem. The shaft isn't perfectly round whrer the packing seals on it. There is a flat spot in that area, probably from when they swedge the square tip for the knob.

This frost free 1/4 turn hose bib makes for a simple water turn on and off. I purchesd two units and couldn't be happier how they function and look. Easy to install and convenient to run through the outside wall.

50/50 chance of getting a good one
Bought two of these. One leaks at the knob when the water is on. If I weren't using it with an irrigation timer I might not care as much.

Excellent Frost Free Bib
Finally Supply House has decided to stock this brand. Have used them for years. This is a 1/4 Turn bib (164 series) but is not a ball valve. It merely has a steep shaft thread to achieve operation with a quarter turn of the handle. Much more durable than ball type frost free bibs. This brand is also fully serviceable/repairable when needed. This model also has a soft cushion handle. High quality construction especially for commercial use.
