Energy is energy. Unless there is a lot of heat loss in the room, any heater that does not lose excessive heat elsewhere (up a chimney or out the back and sides of a unit like this), will be equally efficient. The issue is cost/BTU, cost/watt or whatever unit of energy/time you choose to use. Electricity is about twice the cost rate of gas in the Midwest, but it is much easier to snap in a breaker and pull some wire. This is a pretty standard unit. Well made, but not fancy. There is a little fan noise that is acceptable. Hope this is helpful.
I don't know. I use it to heat a 3 car garage in the winter for short time periods. It works fine & is quiet. I don't use it for extended periods, so it does not affect my electric bill.
The answer depends on the BTU requirement of the room. Depending on your climate and heat loss, the LFK404 should be able to handle somewhere around 200 square feet.
The motor on the LFK404 runs at 1550 RPMs.
