Penetrating Ball Head for K9-102 FlexShaft Machine

This ball head is a great accessory to have in my tool kit. It allows the flex-shaft to open a blockage so those chains can clean your pipes.

The flex-shaft units become a completely different animal with the penetrating heads. Without them, the unit itself cannot get through much for stubborn blockages. I am undefeated since purchasing this attachment.

Had a blockage in shower drain about 6 ft in pipe. Got the Ridgid Flexshaft unit and tried the chain that came with it and it kept slipping. Got the carbide chain and same thing. I got this and could feel it get to the blockage and it just chewed up whatever it was. Maybe took 2 minutes. Drain works the best it has in literally decades. I previouly tried all types and brands of drain snakes and they would all bind up at the blockage. Thanks for a great product.

The head itself is a wonderful and essential accessory to put on the K9-102 drain snake. I tried using the snake without the head and on two occasions the snake wouldn't get thru compacted and/or hard clogs. I bought the head and it made a clear difference when I installed it on site after the first attempts without it. I would have given this drain snake head 5 stars but for 1) the ridiculously high price and 2) the packaging that it came attached to was simply terrible. Ridgid saw fit to attach the head to a card with a plastic friction fit push pin. Well, the pin wouldn't come out of the head no matter how careful I was. After getting gradually more forceful, the top of the pin snapped and the plastic was left inside the head... I then needed to drill a pilot hole into it and screw a sheetrock screw in to extract the plastic. It wasted my time and made me look bad in front of the customer. Whoever came up with that awful packaging method at Ridgid needs to lose their job.
