Description
–
NoKink is used when installing air conditioning units when connecting either the evaporator or condenser unit and is ideal for DMSS especially when connecting the evaporator unit.
It allows the contractor to easily install the refrigerant lines coming out of the wall to the DMSS evaporator. It prevent refrigerant line from kinking and allows for an easier installation saving time and labor costs. Each NoKink has a 3" long copper end for easier flaring. It has an operating pressure rating of up to 800PSI.

Great for mini splits
I've used these a few times on minisplits when the lineset is inside the wall, especially on sizes over 1/2" where the copper is likely to kink when making the tight bend necessary to get the indoor unit to sit flat against the wall.

Flex Hose
I had my doubts, but I've kinked so may lines that I finally gave up and bought this product. I just had it pressure checked and it passed the test. My mini split heat pump is up and running with no leaks and 6 feet of my line set is composed of this product. Works great.

Q: Does Supply house have a 5/8" coupling so that I can solder this to a 5/8" lineset as opposed to flaring it ? In the HVAC copper fittings section of the website, all other common sizes are listed, but no 5/8 ? Are the HVAC copper fittings of a different quality than the ones in the heating section as a 5/8" copper coupling is available there ? (are they heavier or thicker given the PSI involved?) Please advise. Thanks.

Verified Reply- Supplyhouse Staffthe 5/8" od is just a 1/2" plumbing coupling, the fittings are the same as plumbing except for the elbows, & freon piping should be brazed not soldered.
