KAROO Condensate Removal Drain Pan Pump (120/240V)

Great to use in secondary drain pan of a unit that leaks due to a cracked condensate drain pan that was installed in a manner that you can never properly service it. Dumb installers and architects.

Installed a new geothermal heat pump on an unlevel floor. Water was collecting and not draining from the internal pan after air conditioner cycle completed This was the solution! Wired it in, attached 1/4" clear tubing and inserted that into my drain line/trap and placed the pump in the pan. Added several glasses of water to the pan to test, pump automatically started, drained the condensate and shut off, problem solved! Extremely quiet. I wired this for 220 VAC and it auto-detected that voltage. I didn't use the alarm relay wires, just put heat shrink over the wire ends and tie-wrapped to the wiring harness.

Installed this with a GFCI plug in the attic underneath an AC Unit in the condensate pan. Make sure to put it into a low profile vegetable strainer or similar wire mesh basket to prevent small particles or bugs from clogging the pump. Also make sure to properly prime your discharge hose so it doesn't need to struggle to start the water flowing. Feed the hose into the drainage tube and voila…. No worries about a clogged or leaking drainage tube again. Whisper quiet, and shuts itself off once the pan has drained to about 1/2".

This is a great little pump. I'm not even very good at electricity and I was able to install a myself. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. Saves me a lot of headaches.
