Love the simplicity of the "adjustment dial"...I always install a Pressure Gauge in one of the factory "ports" to monitor accurate adjustments.. but dial markings are really close..

Needed to fix a contractor's substandard work who had installed a water heater and an expansion tank with a leaking bladder but had failed to install the PRV. Got this PRV which included the sweat sockets for the unions. The unions are flat face type with a flat annular gasket. I believe the unions are designed such that the compression on the gasket is limited by metal-to-metal contact to produce optimal compression of the gasket without over compression or squeeze out of the gasket akin to the way an o-ring would work. After soldering in the socket connections, put the PRV in place with the gaskets and torqued until hard resistance from MTM contact and sealed perfectly. Pressure setting easily adjusted and the markings relatively accurate when compared to my pressure gauge with about 1-2 psi. It's a beautiful piece. Consider purchasing the matching jumper kit to make the installation even easier.

A bit of a premium price, but seemed to be a solid item. Hopefully it will do it's job for a long time. Just remember to tighten the plugs: one of them dripped after I installed it. And of course, that was the side up against the wall… :-(

I installed this valve in a large duplex. I used the 3/4" and the 1" models, installed in parallel. They are working perfectly, as this type of valve almost always does, no matter what the brand. I have taken this valve apart and find it easier to service than the Watts valves. The pressure adjusting knob on top of the valve is easier to turn than the comparable Watts valve, which uses a large screw. However, the "Dial Set" function, which is supposed to indicate the pressure, is useless. Just like with a Watts valve, one should use a downstream pressure gauge when adjusting the pressure. There are taps on the valve body which allow the installation of a pressure gauge, an addition I recommend. One of the perks of these valves is that they are significantly less expensive than the comparable Watts versions and as far as I can tell, they will work at least as well, for at least as long as the Watts valves.

easy install and the dial is great for setting psi

Ordered to maintain water pressure below 80 psi for whole house water filter. This regulator has ports for a meter and also and easy adjustment for initial course psi setting. It has been working great, keeps the pressure at constant 70 psi with no usage and returns to 70 when all water is off. It was delivered in perfect condition.
