Aquastat
My heater stopped blowing warm air into our rooms. The thermostat worked when put on the manual. So I thought it might be the aquastat. But before I replaced it I had a heat technician check it out.
Easy to replace and we had heat now in the rooms.

does the job
works well as a circulator controller for my circulator pump on an indoor wood boiler closed-loop system. I wish the info sheet that came with it had more detailed options for wiring it up.

worked as expected
Bought a HTP Ultra Indirect Water Heater and needed to control it (using as a buffer tank / heat exchanger in my radiant system).
I had NO experience or knowledge of these things.
This strapped right on.
Was a bit hard to wire - I had the wires striped too long, had to shorten them to 1/3"

Aquastat solvs a problem.
I bought this to add an additional function to my Greenwood wood fired hydronic heater.
The furnace has an overheat firebox damper close switch and and an all pumps off-on switch.
I needed to add the ability to turn on a pump to dump extra heat into the garage floor. The house loops were not enough to sometimes pull all the heat from the furnace causing the damper to close. (70 degrees in the wood shop in winter!)
The aquastats are simple to install and are easy to calibrate. The wire posts are robust and can stand up to repeated removal of the crimp fittings.
I would recommend them to anyone, pro or tyro.

Q: Is this aquastat considered a drywell unit. I want to be sure that no changes to the water level need to be made in order to install the unit.

I just installed & reviewed this product. The bulb is about 6" total length and slid into my HTP Ultra's horizontal well. The aquastat has a half-moon metal piece on the back side that catches the back side of the well's collar and tightens up, holding the aquastat to the well.
