Flame Rod Kit, 62-24044-71

I used this flame rod kit to upgrade the board in my Ruud furnace. It works perfectly with the new furnace control board. Suppyhouse assisted me with finding the correct replacement parts for my old Ruud furnace. I will recommend supply house to everyone.

My furnace is so old that there really isn't much documentation for it. It uses a hot surface igniter which doubles as the flame sensor. When I had to replace my control board, the newer model wasn't designed to work with that. This kit is exactly what I needed. The included documentation was vital in figuring it out.

I used the kit to connect my flame sensor to the new main control board. I didn't really need the whole kit only the two orange wires that came inside. But it was still worth it to fix my furnace considering what it would have cost to have an expensive technician come in.

I thought this kit included the flame rollout switch because the photo and description were not very clear. The kit is convenient because it installs without having to remove the old flame rod which is very hard to get to on my furnace.
