The part worked perfectly

I bought this valve to replace the valve on a water heater that fell victim to a basement flood. The old valve still worked after being dried out, but the label warns to not use the valve if it has been flooded so I decided for peace of mind to replace it. After installing the first valve I received I was horrified to discover that it was defective. The pilot would not stay lit even though the thermocouple was generating about 19 mV when tested. Had to drain the tank again, remove the new valve, and return to SupplyHouse for replacement. The RMA procedure was relatively painless, but the replacement valve took about a week to get to me because it was shipped from Phoenix AZ instead of long island for some reason. Anyway, second time was a charm and the valve has been up and running for almost a month with no issues. The lesson I learned was to test the valve before filling the tank entire tank.
