Direct replace
This was a little different than the one installed. Have to drain the heater. Would like to see water heater company use a well, similar to what is used on boilers. However, this product makes it much easier to change the spark igniter on valve

Good product
Replaced a 16 year old unit. Very straightforward job and good instructions. The only thing that would make it easier if the length of the probe matched the Hot water heater insulation. the original had a 3" extension on the probe where the replacement didn't; had to cut out a lot of the metal shroud and insulation to install the unit. the order form didn't offer a probe length option, so one expects the part number to be the correct length.

Q: What are the temperature's associated with the dial A,B,C and very hot?

Verified Reply- Supplyhouse StaffUnfortunately there are no temperature readings associated with those markings. By rotating the valve closer to the hotter side it will just allow for the pilot to stay lit longer therefore warming the water longer thus raising the temperature. You could run one of your fixtures and use a thermostat to take a reading of water temperature and adjust from there or you could also incorporate a mixing valve into your system.
