Crimp is OK
The part came with 2 spots crimped flat on the copper tubing both about 1/2 inch wide. There are some numbers stamped on the back of one of the crimps. This apparently is normal for this part.

Q: I have a superior fireplace Dt-500CMN nat gas. The hood for the pilot light broke off. Can't find just that piece. Is this the correct assembly for that model? Thanks, Jack
