If after a try-for-ignition, a flame is not present, the unit goes into lock out de-energizing the gas valve automatically. Resetting after the lockout is accomplished by cycling the wall thermostat down to its lowest setting then back to the desired comfort setting. If the flame is lost during normal heat cycle, a new trial-for-ignition sequence will commence.
