RS6110 Love the adjustable differential in 0.5 degree steps.

Purchased this for several reasons to control my Single-stage heat pump, replacing a Honeywell Chronotherm III from mid 1990's.I did not want a touchscreen or wi-fi model. The RS6110: + Offers adjustable differential in 0.5F Degree steps. + Can run off the Common (C) wire without battery. + One of the least expensive options with the features I wanted. Only a few minor things I didn't like: - does not allow you to disable the "Energy Efficient Recovery". - Does not allow setting SEPARATE differential temps for heat and cool. - Does not have a LED showing when the unit is ON, so you can't really tell from a distance when it's on. Actual Dimensions: 5"(w) x 3-5/8"(h) x 7/8"(deep). Mounting screws are 3-1/4" spacing (I was able to use existing wall anchors) I currently use the RS6110 with differential set at 1.5 Degrees. The "Bar" button across the top makes it easy to turn on the back light without pushing buttons that may change a setting. It has option to leave backlight on all the time (with C-wire) if desired. However, brightness of the backlight is not adjustable. The Display is large and easy to read, even in dim light w/o the backlight. The current temp digits are about 1" tall. I've been using this for about a week and overall I am happy. It seems accurate and controls the A/C the way I want it to. There are only a few minor things I would have changed but given the price of this unit, it's a good value. Thanks to Robertshaw!

doesn't work

Had our thermostat set at 67 and then I woke up in the morning to our house at a cool 58 degrees. The buttons on the thermostat don't work very well even though we change the batteries multiple time. Over all just not a good thermostat, would not recommend

This tstat has a temp differential (cycle time) adjustment.

I recommend this with reservations. I selected it because my oversized AC was short-cycling. (It was sized correctly when installed but I just upgraded my insulation.) By increasing the t-stat's temp. differential to 1.5°F, my AC's cycle time is OK again. (I know; I did this against the advice of pros who assured me that the only solution was to downsize the compressor, but it worked and saved me a ton of money.) Without the internet adapter and mobile app this product would have gotten 5 stars. I do NOT recommend the internet adapter. 1. It plugs in at the bottom of the thermostat replacing the battery holder. Its chip produces just enough heat to move the thermostat's reading up by a degree or two. You can "calibrate" it to compensate for that, but it's a fudge and sometimes wanders by a degree. 2. The mobile app is TERRIBLE; limited capabilities and poorly done. (I'm comparing it with Honeysell's app which is excellent.) This app ues C on all screens including the schedule editor even though the thermostat is configured for F BTW, kudos to Supply House for great customer service.

Great Service!

This thermostat has been just what I wanted, but what I have to tell you about is the GREAT Customer Service from Supply House! I had my thermostat installed professionally. After a couple of weeks, my wife went to adjust the temp and the thermostat just 'Popped" off the wall and the wall mount and went to pieces on the floor. I put it back together but it didn't seem to work right. I called Supply House and they expressed me a new thermostat which I received in two days. It works perfectly! I returned the faulty thermostat and am a happy customer. We never did know why the first thermostat just popped off the wall. We had been adjusting it periodically and had no indication that it was going to just fall off??? Oh well... Thank you Supply House for your great service and assistance. I love our thermostat!

Great Thermostat - Great Price

Our good 24 yr. old Maple Chase T-stat got to where it wasn't changing with the programmed times consistently. Maple Chase is no longer around, so I did some research, and decided that this Robertshaw Stat would fit our needs well, at a very reasonable price. I'm a retired old refrigeration fitter, so I know what I want/need in a thermostat. This stat is used for heat with a 46+ year old single stage gas forced air furnace. Temps change with time of day. Cooling is with an evaporative cooler for which I built a 24V control panel using furnace transformer many years ago. Cooling temps are left the same all day, as when the humidity rises that cooler just can't keep things cool. The 2-speed cooler fan is controlled with a separate switch in the 24V circuit. . I set it for no night lite because the LED creates a bit of heat, and caused the stat to read warmer than actual temp. But, I can turn the light on momentarily with the convenient light button. I did have to calibrate it at -1 degree (a very simple task). I like the ability to set all operating parameters with this Robertshaw Thermostat. And, when I get around to replacing our old furnace and cooler with an HVAC system, I see no reason to replace this thermostat. I am extremely pleased with the prices and service at SupplyHouse.com, and really enjoy the stories and photos of other's projects.

Very impressed

As a online shopper, buying product globally, I found that Supply House was an excellent resource. Good pricing, but excellent shipping. Ordered my item late in the day on a Monday and had it Tuesday without any express shipping. Got exactly what I had ordered.

Product Q&A

ASK A QUESTION

Q: I recently purchase a home with a Robertshaw thermostat with no instructions. It looks like the pictures of 6100 series, but there is no identifying number or model number on the thermostat itself (which I don't understand at all). The only number I can find anywhere is 355-00034-001 Rev. A under the instructions for removing the batteries on the cover. Apparently there are many things I can do with this thermostat, but all I have been able to do without instructions is turn it on/off, heat/cool, and set the temperature. How do I obtain instructions, especially when I don't have a model number to refer too?

It will require knowing which model you have to provide specific details but below I have included a link for a manual which does cover a variety of different models including the 4000, 5000 and 6000 series. https://s3.amazonaws.com/s3.supplyhouse.com/product_files/RS5110-Install.pdf

To remove the battery compartment gently squeeze the ribbed edges on both sides. The battery compartment will pull down from the thermostat body and will detach. Install two AA batteries following the polarity as shown inside the compartment. Place compartment back into the thermostat.

Push the up arrow button and the button featuring an icon of a flame and snowflake to password-protect your settings, or to unlock the system when already password-protected. Hold the two buttons for five seconds, and when prompted, enter a four-digit password by pushing the up and down arrows to select each digit. After selecting each one, push the flame/snowflake button to move on, or push the fan icon button to go back. Once all four digits are entered, wait five seconds for the system to unlock or save the new password. Yes, they can be locked. You have to press and hold the right 2 buttons ( Up arrow and heat/cool) at the same time. Hold for a few seconds and it will start blinking. Use the arrow buttons to scroll for your desired numbers and enter a 4 digit code. Once you've entered the code you want, just wait a few seconds and the unit will lock. You have to repeat the process to unlock. Scott
