Q: Was anyone able to "field cut" them? If so, what tools did you use, and how was the outcome? Thanks!

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffThere’s isn't really a tool that the manufacturer recommends to use to cut this cover. Usually the installer should have access to a hack saw or a circular saw that will make a clean cut. It is recommended to use the touch up paint afterwards to touch up the exposed steel.
Q: I just received the rental 3" pipe covers. the two ends that have pieces sticking up - how do you install with these, or should they be removed?

Verified Reply- AnonymousTo install the covers, black insulation pipe foam is first put around the vertical pipe. Then the PC-3 or PC-10 cover is put over the foam with the little metal pegs sticking up into the unit. The holes on the metal pegs are for use in the factory and not in installation. The PC's can be field cut for a perfect fit.

When I bought this item, there was only one in the box. There are many ways to install these heaters and you don’t always need a pair. That is why they are sold individually.
