i would buy this again

My wife and I just recently removed the CPVC plumbing from our home. These Sharkbite manifolds made our plumbing project very easy to install everything. you can NOT use heat with these. ONLY push fittings, which was fine by us.With all the sharkbite fittings everything is upgrade-able, you can add another manifold if you didn't plan for future hook ups. over all we were completely satisfied with the product and the simplicity of the installation.

Sharkbite 4port manifold

Take care to seat your pex to the BOTTOM of the manifold.Mark your pipe with a black marker at 1",that way you can see that you are not in all the way. I used 1"" plastic conduit clips to fasten the manifold to the wall NOTE....push your pipes into the manifold BEFORE you fasten to wall. Twist- push pipe with one hand....twist manifold in opposite direction with other hand for an easy GOOD seating of the pipe

The Musical Pan flute!

I'm kidding its not a flute, this Zamfir type manifold was just what I needed in the tight space under the sink to run the future lines. typically I am a Orange House guy, but i must say Supplyhouse's prices were ideal. But it was the email a couple hours later that had me ready to toot their horn. The message "Your Item has shipped" blew my mind. 'Plumbing so fast you will freak' should be their motto (wait maybe not, plus JJ has that) A++ on item quality, A+ on website ordering. and in the spirit of a Christmas story Shiping gets a A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++!

Plug and done

Pulled all the copper (4 hot and 4 cold) and replaced with pex due to pinhole leaks. Created manifolds for the hot and cold lines. Put a 90 degree shut off directly onto the inflow end. Choose push to fit versus crimping for simplicity and future flexibility. Bottom line, cut tube, pick outlet, push and done. One minor complains, the white center piece lies on it's side when outlets are pointed horizontally making it had to push tube into coupling. Tip, because SB rotates, point outlets vertical, push in tube, rotate whole unit to horizontal when done with connections.

Product Q&A

3 Questions

ASK A QUESTION

Q: We are considering using PEX tubing with Sharkbite connectors to replace current plumbing for a community marina in a northern climate. At the end of each season, the lines must be completely purged. Currently the lines are cleared using a compressor. Is there a recommended not to exceed pressure for a PEX installation?

depends on the temp, but about 100 PSI

Q: I will be needing manifolds with a one inch core having 3/4inch ends and three or four 3/4 inch outlets. Do they exist?

We are not aware of any, and they certainly don't exist for SharkBite. You will likely need to fashion your own manifold out of tees.

Q: what does open or closed mean in regards to the shark bite manifold

Closed manifolds are sealed at one of the two ends. They are designed for use at the end of runs. Open manifolds are open at both ends and can be incorporated in the middle of pipe runs. The copper at the ends of SharkBite manifolds connects to 3/4" SharkBite fittings.
