Easy to install but gauge accumulates water
When revamping a hydronic heating system in 2011 I installed SharkBite Temperature gauge in each of three zone returns. The device is easy to install. However after some time water accumulated inside the temperature gauge of two of the three gauges which makes the dial hard to read. When adding another zone I reluctantly installed the same device again and hope the gauge will remain clear.

Gauge hazed over completely on the inside just after a year. Kind of fails at is main purpose. No soup for you.

I have two of these and they both fogged up within a year and are pretty much un-readable

Verified Reply- PexSupply StaffNo, SharkBite fittings are currently only available in sizes up to 1". The 1" temperature gauge is part 22775.

Q: Does the gauge come out of the well and still allow for water tightness? Just in case I ever need to change the gauge or install a remote sensor.
