really tired of paying top dollar for lead free that aren't
I really like the shark bite patent as you can slip this valve in where you can't move the pipe. Tired of lead free valves with a tag that reads this product may expose you to harmful chemicals including lead. It either is or it isn't!

Quick fix for an old frosen ball valve.
Hot water line to apartment from main house.Old valve frozen from old age and lack of use.
Drained line, cut old valve out with recip. saw, used torch to remove cut ends of valve, cleaned up both ends of 3/4 copper, slid valve on to both stub ends. Fixed. Half hour tops. I do like these new Sharkbite fittings!

Nice part, FYI - it comes with disconnect/slip clip
I bought this as part of a project to replace an icemaker saddle valve that was installed on the 3/4" portion of my water mainline. Compression fittings are a lot easier/faster to work with in a cramped space on a recently wet copper line. I went with a ball valve instead of a slip coupling because the price wasn't that much more and the shutoff will be very nice if I spring a leak in that half of the house.
The package includes the disconnect/slip clip needed to operate this. That should be added to the product description, in my opinion.
