This item allows you to transition from PVC to PEX. The PVC end of this product can not be used on PEX.
Note: Underground burial of SharkBite brass fittings requires that the fitting be wrapped using silicone wrap (25406A).
SharkBite PVC Fittings connect PVC pipe (Sch. 40, 80 and 120) to Copper, PEX, CPVC, and PE-RT pipe with no solder, clamps, unions or glue.

Worked perfectly
Replacing a 1" schedule 40 pvc water line with 1" Pex wrapped with Pex silicone wrap as it will be underground. We yuck and easy!
