Sioux Chief 650 Series piston-type water hammer arrestors shall be required in
piping systems. Water hammer arrestors shall have sufficient volume of air to
dissipate the calculated kinetic energy generated in the piping system. arrestors
shall be effective when installed at any angle. Arrestors shall be approved for
installation with no access panel required. Water hammer arrestors shall be
ANSI/ASSE 1010 2004 certified. Arrestors shall be sized and placed per
manufacturer’s instructions

- Certified by the American Society of Sanitary Engineering to the ANSI/ ASSE 1010-2004 Standard
- Lifetime cycle tested at U.S. Testing Laboratories to withstand 10,000 shock cycles. Factory tested to withstand 500,000 cycles without failure (654-C tested)
- Hydra-Rester male sweat fittings are compatible with press-fitting systems, such as Viega ProPress and all push-fitting systems
- Allows for installation in 2 x 4 wall cavity
- Installs at any angle
- ASSE 1010 certified as a water hammer arrestor that is "designed to provide continuous protection, without maintenance" allowing the Hydra-Rester to be installed without access panels
- All Hydra-Resters are made from no-lead components and are California AB 1953 compliant

Great Commerical Water Hammer Arrester
Used to prevent my water softener water hammering at the end of regen cycle. It didn't completely stop the hammering, only about 85%. There is still some pipe banging but much less severe.

Great Product
Had a bad water hammer in a nozzle tied to a foot pedal and valve on a 1 in line. This completely solved the problem. I would highly recommend.

excellent quality
Excellent fit and finish. all copper construction. Silent operation. I recommend this size even for a 3/4" lawn sprinkler feed line even with an adapter will be more effective than the 3/4" version because this 1" model will displace more of the head to prevent the hammering.
