Not necessary.
I purchased this replacement valve for the siox chief rough in toilet valves because I was not able to get good support from supplyhouse or siox chief. The product works fine however its the same as a standard valve you can purchase anywhere. If your going to replace the rough in valves all you need to do is remove the rubber bushing from the old valve and put it into your new valve.
