Sturdy, great quality, converted to pr..

I love the Ox boxes. They allow many options for installing, including top supply lines. I am a DIY-er, not a plumber but tried my hand at soldering these. 1/2" copper pipe fits perfectly inside the threaded pipes in this product. I removed it from the plastic first and soldered it on a vice. Then, it was a breeze to connect with Gator-bite couplings with cpvc.

Complete Washing Machine Rough In

This kit makes washing machine rough in a breeze. It gives a very professional looking finished product as well. I like the single point control for shutting both hot and cold water supply valves simultaneously as well as the included water hammer arrestors which are a must in my opinion. You can get water hammer arrestors seperately, but you'll pay more and the install won't be as compact and clean.

Works as advertised

This works as intended, I like the flexibility it allows in terms of location of the drainage and the water supply for the laundry. Note however that the water supply valves are not color coded at all, so be sure to hook up the hot water line to the valve on the left when you install.

These work great

I was tired of my multi-turn shutoffs for the washer machine so I started looking for products like this, plus I like the finished look it provides by being installed in the wall versus pipes running along the outside if the drywall for some of the other style single lever hot/cold shutoffs. I was also pretty set on getting hammer arrestors since my pipes would constantly knock while running the machine but I figured it would only reduce the knocking. Now that it is installed, the knocking is COMPLETELY gone. I will never go back to not having them. I'm even thinking about changing out the shutoffs to my toilets since SIOUX CHIEF makes a product for that with hammer arrestors.

You will need to use H060500 adapters ( http://www.pexsupply.com/HydroPEX-H060500-1-2-PEX-x-1-2-Copper-Fitting-Brass-Adapter-3760000-p ).

Q: Can this product be installed on an exterior wall? My washing machine supply pipes are not behind drywall, but instead come up through the floor from the crawl space adjacent to the drywall. I believe it was done this way because of the exterior wall.

If you live in a cold climate, we would not recommend it being installed on an exterior wall, as you risk having the water in your lines freezing. Otherwise, yes, you can install it on an exterior wall.
