FIne Line/15 was just right

I ordered Slant/Fin materials to replace older baseboard heaters that had been nearly destroyed by years of tenant use. Everything I needed was supplied except copper connectors etc which I purchased locally. Easy to install, looks and works fine. The instructions and templates were helpful.

Works great

Easy installation if carefully planned. I replaced one of my units to try it out and will be buying replacements for all of the rest. Very happy with the quality and the performance of the unit.

Exactly as Described

We had an excellent experience dealing with Pex while ordering this baseboard heater. It was delivered promptly, and was exactly as described. It was not complicated to use, lightweight, and sturdy. I have no complaints about their service or product.

happy with baseboard heaters

The heaters are working very well. The plumber had not trouble putting them in. The shipment was a problem; a couple of them got damaged but Pex Supply immediately sent out new ones. Very conscientious and helpful to customers for things beyond their control. I ask pleased with this purchase.

Q: What negative effects can this have on a large screen tv with units running behind it?

The television would not affect the baseboards. You would need to check with the TV manufacturer to see whether the heat coming from the baseboards could harm their product.

Q: Are there shark bite fittings available that can be used to connect the heating elements in these baseboards to 3/4" pex tubing? Additionally, is the heating element the exact length of the baseboard or does the measurement reflect the length of the housing... What is the exact length of the heating element?

You can use Shark Bite U016 fittings ( http://www.pexsupply.com/Cash-Acme-U016-3-4-x-3-4-SharkBite-Coupling-4446000-p ) to connect 3/4" PEX to this baseboard. The element is slightly smaller than the cover to allow room for the possible installation of elbows.

Q: I am doing an home expansion. My plumber, before I released him, plumbed in the hot water heat. I just need to add the heating elements. One odd thing I noticed is that he plumber the supply and return lines in the same location. Do you make hot water baseboard heating elements with the water supply and return on the same side of the unit?

You can actually use this baseboard and set it up so that the supply and return is on the same side of the baseboard. You would need to get a return bend, which is basically a U-shaped bend that will allow the return to be piped back out the same side. Once the return bend is connected, you would pipe the return on top of the heating element that comes packaged with the baseboard. The piping and return bend would have to be purchased separately. This return bend would be a special order product that you can call customer service to get pricing and availability on.

This Hydronic Baseboard is one zone. You would need one thermostat in a central location.

End caps do not come with this unit and are sold separately. The SKU numbers are 102006000 for the right end cap, and 102007000 for the left end cap.
