Standard wrenches align and tighten components automatically, helping technicians finish installs faster.

SmartLock FCMA3800 uses patented metal-to-metal sealing technology for permanent, zero-leak joints under any pressure or temperature. Standard wrenches align and tighten components automatically, helping technicians finish installs faster.
What's in the Box (pre-assembled)
- One SmartLock FCMA3800 fitting body
- Two union nuts
- Two ferrules
- One positioning strip
- No flaring required. Tighten nuts to seal tubes to flare valves without heat or flame.
- Multiple-angle compatibility. Designed for use with 37.5° and 45° flare valves for flexible routing.
- Automatic alignment. Positioning strip holds ferrules and body in perfect alignment for smooth assembly.
- Metal-to-metal seal. Compression ferrules deform to seal under high pressure for lasting, leak-free joints.
- Over-torque prevention. Built-in stops prevent nuts from overtightening and damaging the fitting.
- Corrosion-resistant finish.
- Works with all common refrigerants, including R-410A, R-22, R-134a, R-744, R-717 and A2L blends.
- Suitable for copper-to-copper, copper-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-aluminum connections.
- Tools needed. Standard open-end or adjustable wrenches only.
- Installation tip. Hand-start nuts on tube and valve, then wrench-tighten until the fitting's torque stop engages.

You would not thread on to the flare
The fitting on the mini split was fine but the flare union threads would not go on to the mini split it appeared to be manufactured wrong.

High Hopes. Failed for me.
Nice concept. I was definitely game. After installing per recommended instructions, on both head and at the condenser. Pressure tested and got to 100PSI high side connection at the head blew off. I flared and pressurized to about 200PSI, pressure started dropping, Low side connection was hissing, It got Louder once I tried getting behind the head. Flared and tested up to 500. Both at the condenser held until I was about to release the nitrogen the low side at the condenser blew off. Flared and tested and it held. Did my vacuum test, it held. Once I got to adding my refrigerant the final high side connection at the condenser blew off.
As I said I had high hopes and the all failed at certain points. Could have been me, I will never know because I won't be buying them again
