It did not fit a 3/8" ID hose but customer service was great
I bought this coupling to connect a 1" tubing with a 3/8" tubing. The 3/8" did not work at all.
Working with customer service resolved the issue to my satisfaction but I cannot recommend this part at all.

this was a disaster
I ordered this product specifically to connect one inch and 3/8 inch tubing. The part was also stamped 1" X 3/8". However, measurement with a calipers clearly showed a one inch fitting on one end and a ONE HALF INCH fitting on the other end. Totally worthless for my application - and a clearly false labeling by the manufacturer.
