Replacement part worked and was 1/3 the price of a new unit
Spoke to Jessie in Tempra's US tech department after descaling didn't solve the problem (one of the two heating units kept tripping the over-temp button on top of the heating element).
She advised an ohm test which proved the heating element was internally grounding and thus overheating, so i ordered a new heating element.
The kit came with new screws, seals, and is not difficult to replace. Just label all the wires so that they go back into the correct positions.
Replacement took about 1 hour.
Unit now works again just as new !!
