Suntouch floor warming system

Ordered the "kit" from supply house and was not very impressed with the contents.....initially...!!! I had really done my homework and knew what I was buying but when it arrived I just thought there would be....well more..!! After that I set to installing the system. It was as easy as they say it is. I had the pattern I was going to use long before I even ordered the kit. The instillation took about 4 hours for 140sqft floor. I used a very thin layer of floor leveling compound to stabilize the wiring and prepare the floor for tiling. The floor was covered with travertine tiles, after the mortar was allowed to cure the floor was turned on and well.....was as advertised. Overall it was a delight. Pays to follow the instruction to the letter, watch the companies videos on YouTube.

I installed Suntouch kits on all my tile jobs. Instructions and equipment like the load mouth, DVD, small screw driver EVERY THING is included. I've installed in concrete and in mortor. I've installed over 2 different floor structues and still works with no brakes.

Yes, but it is configure in 5-1-1 meaning you have to configure M-F the same Sat and Sun are done individually. However the thermostat that I have (SunStat Pro) has been replaced with a different model (SunStat Pro II) which does have 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 programming. My guess is depending on how old the kit is dependent on what thermostat you get.

The manufacturer recommends tile or stone flooring. The product should be embedded in a cement-based or gypsum-based mortar if it is installed beneath vinyl, carpet, or wood flooring.
