This is the review I first left: "We bought the Toto Washlet Bidet Seat, Style C2, Model# "SW3073#01", for round toilet bases (the same unit is available for elongated bases). The lid and seat scratch very easily, even when using a soft facial tissue to wipe fingerprints or dust off them, as they are very soft, low-grade PVC. You cannot sit on the lid, or place anything at all on it. The current multi-step system to turn the mist feature on & off is too cumbersome, so we've just turned it off. It would be better to have a button on the side control panel to easily turn the mist feature on or off, as it is not needed when one urinates. The drier blower has three heat settings, but only one air-speed setting. It would be better if the unit had a high and low air-speed setting. It takes some time to get reasonably dry. The rubber nut device (part # A-11) used to mount the plate (part # A-8) the seat locks into is over engineered and under performing. Just as the plate began to tighten sufficiently to prevent movement, the rubber nut began to pull back up through the hole in the toilet base. Consequently, the bidet seat moves slightly when used. The standard round-plastic wing nuts that come with most toilet seats would tighten better resulting in a secure seat. I would not buy this product again unless the materials used in the seat and lid, the nut used to attach the mounting plate, and the mist-feature and drier controls are improved. The positives are that the bidet seat was relatively easy to install without a plumber (you have to be good at understanding drawing-based instructions), it washes well, and the controls are easy to use." I would like to add that the control unit is generally very well designed, it has many good features and is easily adjustable, and it is easy to clean. My original review focused too much on things that could be better. We would recommend this to a friend but would tell them of the poor materials in the lid & seat.
